The BSAT brings back Analogies!
But the real reason?: they’re complete idiots. Here at the BSAT we’re not idiots, or at least not complete.
That's why we're bringing back Analogies. Hooray! Not only are they the most fun you can have with a #2 pencil, but solving them builds valuable life skills. So the next time you hear someone compare Winnie the Pooh with Adolf Hitler, you'll spot the weakness of the analogy, while others, unprepared, flee screaming from an imagined Nazi-infested Hundred-Acre Wood.
How do Analogy questions work? They're not hard. Here's one example from the newly released bible of BSAT test prep: The BSAT Official Study Guide:
TEETH is to FLOSS as NOSTRIL is to ______.
A) plumbing snake
B) finger
C) snot
D) pipe cleaner
E) bowling ball
Answer: FLOSS is the instrument that gets gunk out of your TEETH. What instrument gets gunk out of your nose? That’s right: B) FINGER!
Solving Analogies requires what famed mental expert Dr. Wally Wasulka calls “gut smarts.” Says Wasulka, “High analogy skills correlate with making tons of money, saving the world, and not missing the bowl when you piss. Oddly, they also seem to increase the ability to resist Facebook quizzes.”
