SAT Leak Gets Too Crazy
Apparently the "SAT Takes a Leak" story we talked about last week has turned out not to be so innocuous. According to the Joongang Daily, top level SAT tutor Jeffrey Sohn was kidnapped and beaten. He also reportedly was raking in dough to the tune of one billion...won. Which is roughly $825,000. Which is still absurd for a tutor.
Still, it's pretty amazing that society places so much value on standardized testing that they could be the impetus for a web of organized crime and botched kidnappings to rival a Cohen brothers film. Really? People getting kidnapped and beaten over test questions? You know you can get them at Barnes and Noble for like under $40, right?
